I had hoped to spot the equatorial rainforests in the Congo on our flight from Zambia to London.  It was, however, cloudy, and the first break I got was over the Central African Republic.  These were the first breaks in the clouds allowing me to see the green canopy below, which turned out to be more scrubland than rainforest.
