Galliformes
Birds are a very large family of animals, so many, that they are broken down into groups by order, according to the Sibley-Ahlquist taxonomy- a new and increasingly approved taxonomy based on DNA analysis, as opposed to the older taxonomy, which was more based on appearance, geography, and behavior.

Serengeti
Helmeted Guineafowl typcially roam in groups and are ground birds.  They are related to turkeys, and we saw quite a few of them in Tanzania and Zambia.

They have primarily black bodies with blue heads and spots, which you can see better in the zoomed-in version below.

In the foreground is a Superb Starling.

Although these are grainy, you can see the colors a bit more brightly.
