| Fischer's Lovebird is a gregarious and colorful bird, like most parrots. This bird is so prized by overseas pet owners, that it has been seriously reduced in numbers in Africa. Also, due to trapping and transportation, many have escaped in Kenya and spread there as a result, though the population in Kenya is thin compared to the Serengeti area. |  |

While we were eating breakfast at Ndutu Safari Lodge, we saw this large group of Fischer's Lovebirds congregating at this watering hole- bascially a bird bath set up by the staff to attract them. They swooped in by the dozens. |
