Nearly perfect footprints were discovered in a nearby location- Laetoli- by Mary Leakey. You can see replicas of the footprints, over 3 millions years old, showing structure similar to modern humans (and NO, dinosaurs did not walk with man or his predecessors). The footprints were cast, and then re-covered to protect them from erosion. These footprints showed bipedalism arose much earlier than previously thought. At the top of Olduvai Gorge, where these photos were taken, is a nice, simple museum explaining the finds here and at Laetoli.
