As
we left Makoa Farm to return to Arusha and catch a bus to Nairobi, we finally
got some glimpses of the elusive Mt. Kilimanjaro. Seems strange that
something as massive as Mt. Kilimanjaro would be elusive, but it creates it's
own weather, and during our visit was shrouded in clouds almost the entire time.
In fact, our best view of Kilimanjaro is the picture on the left, taken from 45
miles away on the route from Arusha to Nairobi. Being so far away, and
seeing the mountain loom so big gives you a bit of sense of scale here. I
did not zoom in that much, as this photo was taken through the window of a
moving and very bumpy bus.
