Lake Manyara,
Rift Valley

Choose 3D Viewing Method

Now we've turned back westwards to continue on to the Serengeti, and this excellent 3D shows very well the escarpment that defines the western edge of the Great Rift Valley.  At the right-center part of the photo, you can see the hairpin curve, where we stopped (4 days later) and took the shots of Lake Manyara earlier in this gallery, and just a little further down that road and within this photo, the shot of the baobab tree.  At the bottom is a lodge where you can stay if you are visiting Manyara National Park, with rooms having a great view of the Rift Valley and Lake Manyara, which would be off to the bottom right (and underneath you).
