We stayed on a farm in Africa...  Switching gears and moving from west to east (and obliquely referencing Out of Africa on the way), towards the end of the Tanzania portion of our African adventure we stayed at a place called Makoa Farm.  Not sure what we were getting into, we were so pleasantly surprised when we arrived.  The owners- Laszlo and Elisabeth, run a coffee farm, and on the side, they have a sort of Bed & Breakfast.  There are two tented chalets, and an extra guestroom that can sleep about 5.  This was the main house where they lived, and also where the meals were served.  For more of a write-up, see the Lodging (2D) section in Tanzania.
