There were four locations being dug.  This pit, not the one with the pot, was 1m x 2m in size, with perfectly squared-up walls.  You can see roots that were cut through excavating the hole.  We got to excavate for a few hours, carefully scraping a millimeter away at a time, carefully unearthing and marking the location of each decorated shard (unmarked ones were collected, but not geo-located due to the profusion of them).  What amazes me was Larry's ability to scout out the region, select an area, pick a place, then start digging and find a large cache of artifacts.
