Here's more of the area around the dig site.  One thing I though interesting was the incorporation of oral histories from local elders into interpreting the archaeological finds.  The artifacts they were finding dated back approximately 1000 years, so given the lack of progress of the people until recently (socially and technologically), if you find old enough people still alive, their memories give you some framework to interpret your findings.
