The excitement on the day of our visit was this upside-down ceramic pot, with decoration on the rim. This is where the oral history came into play. All around the site, most pottery was coming up in shards, but this was a complete pot, and it was upside-down. According to the elders, a pot buried in this way could indicate the burial of an infant underneath. The pot itself was excavated while we were there, but no word yet on what was underneath.
